The starting point was a large-scale Excel export from the internal inventory management system, requiring structured data processing and efficient presentation. ## The challenge The source dataset consisted of 67,000 rows (over 160,000 unique entries in raw data). Each product variant—defined by color and size—existed as a separate row, with non-standardized naming conventions and category information derivable only from internal reverse codes. In parallel, the solution had to deliver exceptional performance even on standard shared hosting, with a clear goal of achieving page load times measured in fractions of a second. ## Search for the solution After testing multiple approaches, we implemented a two-step processing pipeline. **1. Product group preparation** – Product models were extracted and cleaned from raw names, related rows were merged into coherent groups, and categories were derived directly from internal reference codes. **2. AI enrichment** – On top of the prepared product groups, AI was used to distinguish individual variants (color, size), standardize naming conventions, calculate missing attributes, and generate SEO-ready product names and descriptions based on predefined templates and length requirements. ## Our solution **End-to-End Delivery** We delivered a complete end-to-end solution, including: – **Data cleaning and normalization** – A custom import engine built in Yii2, featuring automated imports with change-only processing, logging, and validation – **Craft CMS templates** with a streamlined and intuitive admin workflow – Pre-generated and cached pages with instant loading of key content to create a “ready immediately” user experience – **Scalable SEO templates** ensuring consistent, high-quality content across a large product catalog ## The solution **Process & Performance Impact** The workflow follows a clear and efficient pipeline: **Excel → product groups → AI-driven variants and attributes → SEO-optimized names and descriptions → publication in Craft CMS.** Cache invalidation is applied precisely at the data-change level, ensuring the website remains fast even during frequent updates. As a result, users experience clean product cards, well-structured variants, and clear naming—while search engines benefit from consistent, scalable long-tail SEO coverage. ## Result Raw data was transformed into approximately **30,000 structured products with clearly defined variants**. Pages load almost instantly—even on standard shared hosting (Websupport)—delivering an exceptionally fast user experience. The solution minimizes manual maintenance, significantly increases search coverage, and is fully prepared for future scaling.
